Suspicions that Jefferson Pierce is Black Lightning grow and the ASA have him arrested. Lynn seeks help from Detecitve Henderson. Gambi and Anissa work together to show Black Lightning is still working on the streets of Freeland.

A suit upgrade provides Jefferson with new powers, but takes a toll on his body. Anissa investigates the exposé her grandfather was writing when he died.

Jefferson hunts for his father's killer as Anissa rights a wrong in the aftermath of a failed protest. Jennifer faces up to some difficult decisions, while Gambi implores Lynn to help.

Black Lightning works with Anissa to find information to clear Black Lightning's name. Jennifer begins interning for Lynn, while Gambi finds himself in a precarious situation.
