The contestants are given a Mystery Box challenge and are then tasked with taking over the QANTAS First Lounge kitchen at Sydney Airport.

A group of 12 beloved past contestants and 12 emerging home cooks enter the kitchen to share their love of food and compete.

The first elimination of the competition sees contestants in a two round challenge, where the maker of the best jaffle in round one is safe, but the maker of the least impressive dish that changed their life in round two will be sent home.

The contestants split into four teams across four benches to create a dish using ingredients from a layer of the balanced diet food pyramid.

Contestants must find a way to make an eggscellent dish using just one egg. Those that fail must scramble for their lives in the second round.

The contestants have another Mystery Box challenge, this time the winning recipe will feature in Taste magazine.
