The participants head to their respective areas in the mountains of northern Norway. It becomes clear that they face a great mental and physical challenge.

After a day alone in the wilderness, the participants are hungry and feel a sense of isolation. Many find things tougher than they expected, with their longing for loved ones very strong.

The longing for family and loved ones proves intrusive for several participants. It is tough in the wilderness, but the love for those at home provides crucial motivation for some of the participants.

A week in, the situation becomes critical for those who have not managed to catch a fish, they wonder how long they can survive on just berries.

The isolation and the monotonous silence at Altevatnet in Troms begins to erode the psyche of the participants. Some find ways to deal with the loneliness, but others find it a great challenge.

Only two people remain, with the other succumbing to hunger, loneliness, and the rough land. The final contestants try to prove they are the toughest both mentally and physically.
