Air Cocaine

The Air Cocaine case is made public when 4 French individuals are arrested for carrying 700kg of drugs in their private jet in Punta Cana. The mastermind, Frank Colin, recounts the story beginning with a first flight that raises questions.

The French investigation begins during a second suspicious flight; the Dominican police infiltrate a drug trafficking group at Punta Cana airport; in March 2013, the pilots and crew are arrested in possession of 700kg of cocaine.

The mastermind of the case, Frank Colin, is arrested in Paris; after a widely publicised trial in Santo Domingo, the 4 Frenchmen are sentenced to 20 years in prison; in France and the Dominican Republic, the bold escape of the two pilots is planned.

The two escaped pilots arrive in France and continue to maintain their innocence; in their trial, they are convicted in the first instance but acquitted on appeal; mastermind Frank Colin is sentenced and imprisoned until his release in July 2022.
