Detectives John Cardinal and Lise Delorme set out to uncover the mystery that lies behind the discovery of a missing girl's body.

The Algonquin Bay Police Department goes into damage control. As the killer draws closer to his next victim, Delorme puts the whole investigation at risk by trying to catch Cardinal in the act.

Delorme grows concerned over Cardinal's knowledge of her secret investigation. Cardinal gets a break in the Curry case, and Eric tries to persuade Edie to torture Keith.

Cardinal takes a turn at putting the investigation at risk as issues between himself and Delorme threaten the partnership. A criminal breaks into Eric and Edie's basement and discovers Keith.

After figuring out who killed Woody Baldwin, and tracing his connections to the Katie Pine and Todd Curry cases, Cardinal and Delorme must find the killer before he murders Keith.

Delorme's investigation of Cardinal comes to an end. Cardinal realises he was not working alone as he races to save his daughter.
