Officers from Staffordshire police describe with brutal honesty the everyday challenges of policing in a climate of cuts and changing crime.

Staffordshire police speak about tackling hate crimes and domestic violence. Police once saw domestic arguments as a private matter, but there is growing awareness around the need to safeguard victims as well as dealing with the perpetrators.

The officers look to the future as they take on new recruits. At the end of 2019, the government pledged to train 20,000 new police officers, and Staffordshire police are going to be receiving some of these new recruits.
