Story of the rise and fall of 1920s' Ku Klux Klan leader D.C. Stephenson.

Madge Oberholtzer is dropped off at her home, close to death, after being abducted and brutally raped by D.C. 'Steve' Stephenson. Close family friend and attorney, Klell Henry, is chosen to prosecute the case on Madge's behalf after she dies.
