In the early twenty-first century, Earth is visited by an alien race, the Taelons. Soon, with the Taelons' help, famine, disease and pollution have been eliminated. Although the Taelons profess to have no malice on Earth, a small group of resistance fighters assemble and discover the aliens’ dark intentions for humans.
