La Llanera is released from prison after 17 years. During her confinement, she has been put to the vile garrote numerous times and pardoned at the last moment. During her stay in prison, she had a son whose father is the famous bandit Lagartijo.

The gangs of Aceituno and Lagartijo face each other to stop Lucía and Juan, who are unable to enjoy the long-awaited freedom; John is mugged and forced to serve the Governor in his plans to rid the county of bandits.

While fleeing from bandits and hunters, Lucía and Juan meet Reina, who is also fleeing a cruel fate. The three take refuge with Pedro, a mysterious man who will give them some peace.

Aceituno, to get revenge on Lagartijo, puts himself at the service of the Governor and asks for reinforcements to catch the gang and the Llanera in exchange for royal pardon. El Lagartijo and his men look for Juan and Lucía to protect them.

Aceituno's plans go well and he makes plans to enjoy his victory. Both gangs will have to settle their accounts, while Lucía and El Lagartijo face off to resolve a family matter that has been pending for years.
