Wendy finds out that a novel has been submitted for publication, promoted by her nemesis (guest star Lorraine Bracco), that depicts her as an empowered businesswoman and a bad mother; Nico's relationship with Kirby heats up; Victory's company is downsized.

While under the scrutiny of the public and Janice Lasher, Wendy decides to bring her daughter to a luncheon, but things do not go as planned; Nico decides to slow down her relationship with Kirby.
