Fifteen of the best home cooks in the region arrive and begin a journey full of drama and excitement under the guidance of three world-class judges; the contestants' first challenge involves cooking a dish to tell the judges who they are.
The 14 remaining contestants are divided into two teams to serve five different types of canapés to 80 VIP guests on Asia's largest observation platform, the Singapore Flyer.
The 13 remaining contestants are tasked with two challenges; in the mystery-box challenge contestants must include one of nine ingredients in their dishes.
The remaining 12 contestants are divided into three teams of four and man their own stalls at Singapore's famous Lau Pa Sat hawker centre. Each team is tasked to prepare one of the three main ethnic cuisines of Singapore, Malay, Indian and Chinese.
The remaining 11 contestants must re-invent their own unique version of chilli crab, a classic Singaporean dish.
Five teams fight over five cuisines and five home appliances to offer up flavours of USA, Thailand, Spain, France and Italy.
