On the run from the police, Bong-hwan, a chef, falls into a pool and wakes up in the body of the Joseon Dynasty's future queen.

Desperate to return to his own body, a disoriented Bong-hwan deflects King Cheoljong's sexual advances and starts to flirt with a concubine.
