WWII army general George S Patton Jr takes his troops to Germany to face strong Pro-Nazi French forces in 1942.

Patton trains the humiliated US unit into shape after their defeat at Kasserine Pass. He takes command and leads them into the Battle of El Guettar.

Patton's success in North Africa leads to him taking command of the biggest assault of WWII, the Allied invasion of Sicily.

Patton ignores orders to stay put and pushes into the Sicilian capital without his British allies. He is relieved of command after slapping a pair of soldiers.

Patton is given command of a fictitious army in order to fool the Germans about the Allies' true intentions for the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944. Patton helps spearhead the US effort to smash through German lines.

A look at Patton's order to halt his troops before trapping a German army and he is then denied the glory of liberating Paris. His troops come within 60 miles of the German border by the end of summer in 1944.
