Sonja Ek lives a happy and loving life with her husband and three children in a suburb of Stockholm. One day, tragedy strikes, and in order to protect her children, Sonja is forced to cross the border into the criminal world.
When police search the Ek family home, Stein is pressed for more information on who the shooter was; the family waits at the hospital for information.
Niklas asks Sonja to take care of the company's affairs while he is in jail; Sonja tries to find out who the major is; Stein looks for the missing cocaine; Christian Broman demands money from Stein for the stolen drugs.
Sonja makes contact with Christian Broman; Barry pays a visit to Stein; Luke takes care of the children; Gustav visits Jill and they take ecstasy together.
The police tell Niklas that Sonja is hanging out with Broman; Sonja's investigation leads her to Norway; Kattis persuades Sonja to go out and celebrate Hannah's birthday at Broman's restaurant.
