Sanzo's party continues west, climbing a near vertical cliff face; the party fends off an attack from a band of demons.

Konzen Douji is suddenly charged with taking care of a heretic child named Goku, who has golden eyes.

Goku tries to see Nataku, but is continually refused; Konzen and Tenpou discuss Nataku's origins and the threat Goku poses to Li Touten.

Goku reveals his true power; Kenren, Konzen and Tenpou are deemed traitors; the four make a run for it and attempt to get Goku down to Earth.
