Hideyoshi's dream of a unified Japan is close to fruition by being one castle siege away from becoming reality.

Hideyoshi has united all of Japan under his banner, but was struck with illness; tensions rise between Ieyasu and Mitsunari; Nobuyuki and Yukimura must choose where their allegiances lie.

Ieyasu and Mitsunari mobilise forces against each other thrusting the nation into war again; Mitsunari, Yukimura must now use Nobuyuki's tactics against him.

Forces assemble in Sekigahara to begin the Battle of Sekigahara and the winner will be the next ruler of unified Japan.

Ieyasu wins the Battle of Sekigahara. Mitsunari is defeated and slain; Yukimura, who sided with Mitsunari, must be put to trial.

Yukimura struggles to acclimate to the peaceful life in rural Mount Kudo; Nobuyuki is sent on a mission to meet Kanetsugu.
