After an assailant murders office worker Mikami Satoru, he finds himself reborn as a remarkably powerful slime in an alternate world, where he begins a quest to promote harmony among the world's different races.

The Storm Dragon, Veldora
While meeting friends for lunch, office worker Mikami Satoru falls victim to a random stabbing. He hears a voice in his head as he bleeds out on the sidewalk, and awakens in a strange cavern with a new and unexpected form.
EPISODE 2
Meeting the Goblins
Slime Mikami and Storm Dragon Veldora decide to rename each other. Veldora gives slime Mikami the new name of `Rimuru', and Rimuru chooses the family name of `Tempest' for both of them.
EPISODE 3
Battle at the Goblin Village
Rimuru takes on a leadership role and helps warring groups of goblins and direwolves find some common ground while simultaneously discovering a new ability.
EPISODE 4
In the Kingdom of the Dwarves
Rimuru and friends get into trouble on their way to recruit some dwarves to help the goblins learn how to build houses and make their own clothes.
EPISODE 5
Hero King, Gazel Dwargo
After delivering the longswords, Rimuru and Kaijin celebrate at an elf bar. One of girls reads Rimuru's fortune, and sees an image of someone she believes Rimuru is destined to be with.
EPISODE 6
Shizu
While making improvements for the Goblin Village, Rimuru meets a trio of adventurers and a masked woman named Shizu. According to his fortune from the bar elves, Shizu is the person Rimuru is destined to be with.
