Colt chases a sheriff who fled after a hit-and-run, and dodges mobsters while trying to catch a friend.

The trail of a bail jumper (Henry Gibson) leads Colt to a Mexican resort where he finds the man's wife living with an out-of-work actor.

Colt and Howie are helped by an insurance agent as they try to track down an embezzler and his accomplice who are desperate to reach the airport and complete a business deal.

Notorious robbers Animal and Red Eye frame an innocent man to take the rap for an armoured car robbery. With the man fearing for his life, Colt and Howie go undercover and enter the jail to get to Animal.
