The Royal Gambler

Prolific gambler Baek Man-geum is harangued by his wife for his constant habit. When confronted about his debts by the gibang mistress, he fearfully agrees to sell his wife.

A gambler begs for mercy after losing his wife to another man, who he later learns is the king. The king agrees to another bet, but the person at the centre of the bet has her own opinion on the matter.

Baek Man-geum arrives to save his son, but a life is put in danger by his wager; the king makes a promise for the future; Lady Jang issues a harsh punishment.

A noble woman arrives in town seeking Hong Seol-ju and enters an underground casino. She sits down with her master, but is interrupted by an unwanted guest at their table.

Dae-gil wakes on the shoreline with a fuzzy memory and finds himself being sold as a slave. He recuperates slowly with the help of a young woman.
