The Silence

In Osijek, Igor Kozul, a lonely old fisherman, spots the body of a young girl on the edge of a river. Inspectors Vlado Kovac and Vesna Horak lead the investigation, and suspecting a homicide, they quickly consider Kozul a suspect.

Near the place where Ivana's body is discovered, Sanja, one of her friends, is also found dead. The young girl, who refused to answer Stribor's questions, has apparently died of an overdose.

Questions mount about the validity of Vladimir's prime suspect, as details about two of the three victims come into focus; Olga crosses paths with Stribor, a journalist who wants to speak to her about her niece, creating waves with police.

Kozul's lifeless body is recovered from the Drava; Vlado and Stribor's relationship gets strained when the latter confides in him that he followed Visnja to an apartment where Ivana and Sanja also went before their deaths.
