Four British ISIS recruits are excited by the prospect of their new lives in Syria. After swearing their allegiance to the organisation, they are convinced they have made the right decision.

Jalal and Ziyaad get their first taste of the battle at the frontline, while Shakira bears witness to a barrel bomb's aftermath. Ushna must come to terms with the reality of living as a woman in Syria.

Ushna, challenged by the reality of marriage to a foreign fighter, is determined to make it work; Shakira learns she must marry in order to continue to work; Jalal witnesses the horrors faced by young Yazidi women in a land under men's control.

In his new role, Jalal bears witness to barbaric punishment; all four of the recruits must decide whether their belief in the cause is strong enough to justify remaining in their dangerous present surroundings.
