Four young ISIS recruits are excited to begin their new lives in Syria; they take oaths of allegiance to ISIS, convinced they have made the right decision to come, but are confronted by the harsh realities of life under ISIS.

The recruits are forced to reflect on their new lives; Jalal and Ziyaad experience bloody frontline battle; Shakira witnesses the horrifying aftermath of a barrelbomb; Ushna is shocked at the brutal treatment of women.

Ushna, challenged by the reality of marriage to a foreign fighter, is determined to make it work; Shakira learns she must marry in order to continue to work; Jalal witnesses the horrors faced by young Yazidi women in a land under men's control.

Jalal is given a new role by ISIS and witnesses barbaric punishments and mock executions and decides to help Ibitsam and Narin escape; Shakira's concern that Isaac is being readied for frontline battle makes her contemplate escape too.
