Ivy Moxam escapes after being held captive in a cellar for 13 years and contacts police. She returns to her family home, but struggles to put her life back together.

Ivy tries to trust again, while her family are unsure how to react to her. The investigation into the missing girl raises more questions about Ivy's time in captivity.

The police make some progress in their investigation, but Carne and Merchant aren't in agreement and take opposing sides. Meanwhile lies come to light, and Ivy's family life implodes.

Ivy is arrested and questioned about the body discovered at Colbridge Road. When she shuts down, it is up to Christina to free her from the guilt that burdens her.

When the past comes back to haunt Ivy, she is forced to face the truth of what happened to her, and decide whether to give in to the past, or fight for the future.
