A Robot is a Robot
Following the tragic demise of its military career, a disabled robot war veteran finds himself in the loving care of an elderly woman who hires him to work at her cat parlor. Despite the robot's most noble intentions, however, some programmed instincts prove hard to shed. With the likes of “Edward Scissorhands” and the aesthetics of Fritz Lang's “Metropolis,” filmmakers Emil Friis Ernst and Nilas Røpke Driessen present a thoughtful and touching animated short with no dialogue needed to reach the heart of its viewers.
