Sandra, restaurant owner Claire’s daughter, is getting married. Surprisingly Sandra’s sister Alice, who has been living in Australia for the past four years for unclear reasons and had severed contact with her family, also attends the wedding. While the festivities are still underway, Alice finds Sandra dead. She has fallen from a higher terrace onto a pier. Alice’s ex-boyfriend Vincent takes charge of the police investigation. Neither he nor Alice can imagine that Sandra fell, let alone that she killed herself. Although there is nothing to indicate a murder, Vincent’s suspicions fall on Anthony, who has a criminal record and took part in the wedding party as the restaurant’s supplier and has since disappeared. Meanwhile Alice is sent an anonymous phone video showing Anthony having sex with Sandra. While the investigation is not really progressing, old conflicts bubble up again. Alice refuses to provide a convincing explanation for her sudden emigration, to her father Guy as well as her ex Vincent. In addition, during a fight she accuses her mother Claire of having destroyed her life. Vincent’s parents Pierre and Cathy are incriminated by the following discovery: Fabio, who was in prison for four years because he supposedly killed Vincent’s brother Simon in an accident, is a free man once more. In a flashback to the scene of the accident we see Fabio promising Claire, who is leaning against the vehicle, that he will help get her out of trouble...
