A comic series in which three couples befriend in the fertility service waiting room. It tells a taboo-breaking story of six people who have planned a future with children, but then have to change course.

Bert and Kirstie meet later in life. It's love at first sight, especially since they both want babies soon and lots of them.

Ziggy and Charlie are young, madly in love and living at two hundred kilometres an hour. Until their carefree life is abruptly put on pause. Charlie receives a devastating diagnosis.

Ellen and Ellen (Twee) have a spark at work. After a while, they would like to have a child via donor sperm but they have a clear agreement: Ellen will carry the child as Twee has absolutely no desire for pregnancy.

Charlie and Ziggy are overjoyed because Charlie is pregnant. Kirstie takes matters into her own hands as Bert refuses to consider donor sperm. Ellen doesn't understand why Twee refuses to carry their baby.

The Club is a reality. Bert immediately invites everyone to the surprise party for Kirstie's fortieth birthday. But before that happens, each couple must face their own problems separately. And some prove more difficult than expected.

Kirstie is devastated that Bert has left her and tries to change his mind with the support of The Club. Meanwhile, Ziggy and Charlie anxiously await the first checks.
