Happy Slapping

Five suburban youths embark on a night of violence in the city, attacking unsuspecting victims while recording the assaults on smartphones. The film was shot entirely by the teenagers on their cell phones. Inspired by true events, HAPPY SLAPPING follows a group of five rich suburban kids as they set off to the inner city to seek out fame. Their plan is to manufacture an evening so shocking that their smartphone footage will turn them into instant Internet celebrities. After the group’s rivalled by another street gang, and intimidated by their online idol, they are forced to take their misbehavior up a notch in order to make a name for themselves. And, as always things get out of hand, however, this time everything’s being recorded!
