Janis has struggled all of her adult life with DID. After escaping a heavily traumatic past as a child cello prodigy, she has fallen under the control of her husband/therapist who, with the excuse of striving for her cure, has vanished her form the world. He keeps her virtually imprisoned at his home on an isolated island where she spends her life fighting a never-ending battle inside her multiple personalities. Clayton, her husband, the person who she regards as her rock of stability and sanity, is the one who has manipulated her all along through medication and psychological torture. In an unexpected twist, her multiple personalities will destroy her known world and free her out of her imprisonment.
