Jake Lovell (Michael Praed), born a poor gypsy, has worked his way to the top of the highly competitive world of equestrian show jumping. At the Los Angeles Olympics, Jake is in direct competition with his chief rival, Rupert Campbell-Black (Marcus Gilbert), a snobbish but excellent horseman who was born into the lap of luxury. The rivalry on the course is intense, but Jake, a charmer when it comes to women, decides to take it off-course when he sets his sights on seducing Campbell-Black's wife.
