Front Page Woman
Academy Award winner Bette Davis and George Brent star as newspaper reporters, rivals and lovers--a man who will do anything for a story, and a lady who is just a competitive in her quest to be a Front Page Woman. Reporter Curt Devlin (Brent) believes that women have no place working at a newspaper, but his belief in the inferiority of women is disproved by Ellen Garfield (Davis--All About Eve; Now, Voyager), who can go toe-to-toe with Devlin when it comes to getting a scoop. Now, as the two file dueling headlines that lead to the arrest, murder conviction and acquittal of Maitland Coulter (Gordon Westcott), the two discover to their surprise that they love each other.
