When an early escape attempt backfires, creating friction between Adam and Wiley, an unexpected visitor LIAM CULLEN (Steven Grayhm) arrives with a potential cure – the answer to the epidemic that has ravaged the small town. Wiley and Adam are divided, as Adam is highly suspicious of this newcomer, while Wiley is looking for a viable and humane way for everyone to escape. Can they trust Liam with their lives, or does he have an ulterior motive for coming to Pretty Lake? Allegiances shift as everyone wonders on whom they can rely, and not just in terms of the cure. MARK (Jack Murray), STACEY (Samantha Munro) and RONNIE (Kyle Mac) become embroiled in drama with newcomer RENEE (Mercedes Morris), when a member of her survivalist group, THE HORDE, dies accidentally. Renee wants blood and this ignites a chain reaction of violence that results in revenge and sharp divides between our characters. GORD (Ryan Allen) and TRACEY (Jordan Todosey) do their best to provide for the children at the orphanage causing a rift between Gord and his sister FRANNY (Shailyn Pierre Dixon). Ever watchful of the town, CHUCK (Justin Kelly) takes note of HARRISON’s (Percy Hynes White) clever survival skills and proposes they join forces, with unexpected results. As winter gets colder, food runs out and tensions run high, Adam, Liam and Wiley clash as they try to figure out what’s best for Pretty Lake before the town dies of starvation. Will Liam’s cure save them, or will it be a gateway to a much bigger problem?
