Max, a malfunctioning bionic guinea pig and his goldfish buddy, JC, escape from their laboratory into the bustling streets of Woodchuck Wood. But adapting to the urban jungle is no small feat for our pair of intrepid misfits.

In order to buy a television, Max and JC offer the Mayor to make muffins for her little celebration, but the muffins are inedible and the little celebration turns into chaos. Everything is back to normal when the muffins end up being used as fertilizer and Max and JC earn enough to buy their TV.

In order to become popular, JC hastened to distribute biono kicks that Max made while keeping all the glory, until the shoes derailed and created chaos in the city.

Max, JC, Mona, Abby and Pickles start off on the ascent of Molehill Mountain but everything gets complicated when JC takes the lead and misplaces them while Max is getting rusty.

As Mona tries to make her dream come true on stage, JC steals the spotlight by catching the director's eye. He then thinks he's a real star while Max tries to bring him to his senses and Mona is relegated to the background.

Max and JC decide to turn themselves into thieves in order to give Pouic-Pouic something to do.
