Detective John Cardinal is brought back to the Homicide Unit when the body of a missing girl is discovered.

Detective Delorme risks exposure of her investigation in order to catch John in the act of a crime; the killer zeroes in on his next victim.

As Eric encourages nervous protégé Edie to torment their drugged and bound captive Keith, Delorme fears Cardinal has sidelined her again.

A small-time criminal gets caught in the center of Eric and Edie’s twisted world when he breaks into their basement and finds Keith.

When Woody’s body is found hastily disposed of, Cardinal and Delorme are able to connect it to Eric, and Eric to Katie Pine and Todd Curry.

In the final episode, Cardinal realizes that Eric wasn’t working alone, and Delorme must decide what to do about Cardinal.
