In 1988, Chantale is living a fairy-tale with Jean-Guy; eight months later, she wants to terminate her pregnancy, but her ex does not agree.

After receiving the injunction preventing her from having an abortion, Chantale must find the tools to fight in Superior Court.

Chantale decides to appeal the Viens decision, but time is running out; Jean-Guy strengthens his grip; pro-choice activists organize a fightback.

Chantale tries to escape the violence and sees the law and the media closing in on her. Despite his victories, all is not well for Jean-Guy. Out in the field, pro-choicers are taking blows from pro-lifers.

While the lawyers prepare for the Supreme Court, Chantale takes her fate into her own hands; Jean-Guy feels that something is going on.

Chantale was able to terminate her pregnancy, but she is not yet out of the woods; if her secret gets out, she could be in big trouble; Jean-Guy sees his world fall apart.
