In Episode One of Dream Home, Dr. Chris Brown welcomes six couples to the competition where homeowners have their ordinary, run down houses completely transformed by other couples into the home of their dreams. We begin the house overhauls in Melbourne for 90’s boy band sensation Brad and his wife Mel in Northcote and Elle and her renovation expert sister Taeler in Watsonia. It’s a rollercoaster of excitement, laughter and pressure as the houses begin to morph into astonishing new homes. Our couples meet our esteemed expert judges Lana Taylor, Rosie Morley and Simon Cohen who will score the rooms to award the winner an additional one hundred thousand dollars to put toward their mortgage. It is a life changing and emotional journey for the couples who create the breath-taking homes.

In Episode Three of Dream Home, our six couples have just four days left until they hand over two hopefully half completed dream homes in Northcote and Watsonia, to the Judges. While professional house flipper Taeler and her little sister Elle are well ahead with their bathroom and bedroom, Reno Rookies Brad and Mel face a series of delays with their Bathroom, after they over ambitiously added a separate powder room to their scope of works. With the clock ticking, will everyone finish their rooms by the reveal deadline?

With renovation of the Victorian homes half complete, the judges make their way to Ellie’s home in Watsonia and Brad and Mel’s Home in Northcote, to judge the spaces that have been finished so far. Then our renovators come face to face with the experts for the first time in the competition and receive feedback on their rooms and their scores.

Parents of four teenagers Mel and Brad are blown away when they get a glimpse of their half-completed Dream Home. And sisters Taeler and Elle share in a special moment when they see what’s become of her old 70’s house. The Melbourne homeowners return to site with a spring in their steps, ready to start over with the second half of the houses. But there’s something else in the air – the competition has ramped up as, post judging, the teams are reminded there’s backyards and $100,000 at stake for the teams at the top of the Leaderboard. Everyone is inspired to dig deep and come up with winning room designs.

In the latest episode of Dream Home, we hit the halfway mark of cycle two, and things are getting spicy in Victoria. Over in Watsonia, Liam and Rhys are riding high on last week's win, pouring their cash into a controversial, doorless ensuite that's making a lot of noise...literally. Meanwhile, Brad and Mel are feeling the pinch, having blown their budget and now can't finish their master bedroom, leading to a scramble for solutions. Desperation is in the air in the front garden as Lara and Pete, broke and plant less, beg the boys for a loan, sparking the first thoughts of strategy versus camaraderie. Across town in Northcote, and racing the clock, the plasterboard drama is real for Jordan and Jacinta, Hannah and Jonny have grand dreams for their Victorian Hallway, and tempers flare for Taeler and Elle when access to their front yard becomes a major bone of contention, igniting a fiery standoff
