Hannah is looking forward to going back to school but for Hannah it’s the first time she’s starting the school year as her true self and with the support of a group of friends. She feels like anything is possible. Hannah decides to run for School Captain.

Hannah arrives at school feeling confident. But when it’s announced, it’s Jasmine who received the most votes and is the new Class Captain, Hannah does her best to smile and be a good loser but she is clearly disappointed.

At school, everyone is talking about how great Jasmine’s party was. Olivia tries to apologise but Hannah wants nothing to do with her. She feels Olivia betrayed her and she doesn’t trust her anymore. Hannah tries to put it behind her and focus on her task at hand – getting people to come to Hillview Pride. She approaches three of the senior students - Sam, Abby and Lachlan - convinced that if older kids come it will encourage others to attend.

Hannah takes to the stage at assembly to try and convince the student body to support a change to the Hillview High uniform policy. Hannah, Olivia and Nat are reunited and Hannah decides to go to the Junior School Dance.
