UK innovations range from the steam engine & steam locomotive, railways, subways, the flush toilet, antibiotics, hypodermic needle, to DNA, fingerprinting, Shakespeare & Sherlock Holmes, television, soccer, the computer, the worldwide web…and The Beatles.

Like a fine wine, France is wonderful, complex, full of surprises and enjoyed by many. The culture and innovations from France have made the world a better place. If we suddenly erased the best contributions from France, the world would be shaken to its core.
