Jonathan's journey begins as he and a documentary crew head to Rome with the task of learning more about who Jesus was. While there, Jonathan explores ancient historical sites connected to Jesus and His followers. Jonathan shares some of his own story and how getting this role as Jesus on “The Chosen” has changed his life. He gets the opportunity to meet with rock legends Alice Cooper and Brandon Flowers of The Killers to pick their brains on how they balance faith and the chaos that can come with fame.

After Rome, Jonathan seeks out voices that can help him find common ground in a divided world. Meanwhile, the demands of publicity, and being the new “face” of Jesus, grows.

While pursuing a new acting opportunity, Jonathan struggles with the pressures that come with being the actor who plays Jesus and the expectations that come along with that.

With Season 3 just around the corner, Jonathan goes on his last trip to discover more about Jesus' character and heart. He must learn how to apply all of these lessons as he steps onto the set of “The Chosen”.
