Ma petite vie

Thanks to their strong personalities, Émilie, Marcel, Sylvie, Daniel, Félix and Sandrine are an example of determination. They prove to us once again that people of short stature cannot be stopped because of their size! Despite their handicap, they go to school, have a career, a love life; in short, a rather "normal" life!

It's not always easy to be different. But resourcefulness is at the heart of their life. While Émilie recovers from her spinal cord operation, Sandrine prepares for her university exams. We visit Sylvie's adapted house and learn more about Daniel's special condition.

Health problems are common for people of short stature. Émilie and Sylvie do physiotherapy. Whereas Sandrine and Félix go for a hike in the mountains. Daniel visits an apartment for a possible independent life.

Émilie needs a new dress for her brother's wedding and Sylvie presents us her sewing workshop. Marcel goes partridge hunting while Daniel conducts a studio music recording session for his company. Self-confidence is built by one activity at a time!

What makes them unique is their particular way of living their life. Sylvie and Émilie present their pets and the place they occupy in their families. Daniel tells us about his wheelchair and the training method he has found. Sandrine and Félix get together with the family around a Chinese fondue.

People with dwarfism greatly appreciate the support of those around them. Visiting Montreal, Émilie and Marcel will show the bridesmaid dress to the fiancés. Sylvie and her mother go for a girls’ night out. While Sandrine and Félix are talking about having children, Daniel recalls fond childhood memories with his cousin.
