Meeting You

Nan Xi returns to campus, feeling lonely due to social anxiety that led to a leave of absence. He meets Xia Rui after being late, and she tries to retort but fails. In math class, Nan Xi impresses Xia Rui with his problem-solving skills, and a close encounter afterward makes him realize her talent in carving. Xia Rui accidentally hits Teacher Hu and gets punished, but Nan Xi supports her.

Teacher Hu appoints Nan Xi as the class representative, surprising Xia Rui. Nan Xi discovers Xia Rui's scar and confirms she is his childhood friend. To protect Nan Xi, Xia Rui neglects her friendship; Teacher Hu suggests they cooperate. Xia Rui ignores friends for tutoring, angering Cheng Erluo, who confronts her.
