Charles S. Dutton stars as Roc. While striving to live the "American Dream" in blue-collar Baltimore, Roc Emerson and his wife, hospital worker Eleanor (Ella Joyce), must cope with Roc's father, the highly opinionated, never-wrong Andrew Emerson (Carl Gordon), and Roc's fast-and-loose younger brother, Joey (Rocky Carroll).
