Prince Su Yang wants his daughter to marry Kim Jong Seo's son, Seung Yu, for political unity; Se Ryeong finds out that Seung Yu is Princess Gyeong Hye's teacher and goes in her place to see what he is like.

Princess Gyeong Hye finds out that Seung Yu is to be her husband; she also finds out that Seung Yu and Se Ryeong met outside the palace; Seung Yu and Se Ryeong grow closer riding a horse.

Princess Gyeong Hye tells Se Ryeong that Kim Seung Yu is going to marry her; Prince Su Yang invites Myeon to his house, where he runs into Se Ryeong and finds out she is not the princess.

Prince Su Yang finds out that Se Ryeong pretended to be the princess and met with Seung Yu; despite Se Ryeong's plea to save his life, he tries to have Seung Yu killed. Kim Jong Seo makes a deal with Prince Su Yang.

Se Ryeong apologizes to Seung Yu and tries to tell him how she feels about him, but Seung Yu is cold to her to hide his feelings for her; King Munjong passes away and Prince Su Yang is about to take power when Kim Jong Seo appears with a royal order.
