The Slap

Aisha and Hector host a backyard birthday party to celebrate his 40th. Unfortunately, the party is anything but celebratory, as Hector (Peter Sarsgaard) wrestles with his attraction to the teenage babysitter, Connie (Makenzie Leigh), and his cousin slaps a child who is not his own. Zachary Quinto, Thandie Newton, Brian Cox, Uma Thurman, Melissa George and Thomas Sadoski also star.

The situation is escalated as the police pay Harry a visit; a flared temper gets in the way of an apology.

While trying to balance her TV show, her sick mother and her younger boyfriend, Anouk learns she is pregnant.

Manolis encourages Aisha to forgive Harry in hope of rebuilding friendships and saving the family, but things don't work out as he expected.

Connie comes to believe her secretive relationship with Hector will help her escape her mundane life. A visit to her father’s former lover prompts Connie to profess her love to Hector, and she must deal with the consequences.

Following Aisha's emotional business trip, Hector surprises her with a romantic getaway during which each of their secrets is finally revealed.
