Marshall Crenshaw

Marshall Crenshaw brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Crenshaw began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the Henry Winkler comedy "Night Shift" (1982), the action movie "Superman III" (1983) with Christopher Reeve and the drama "The Loveless" (1984) with Willem Dafoe. His music also appeared in "Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985). Though known first for his music, Crenshaw also acted in the Kathleen Turner fantastical comedy "Peggy Sue Got Married" (1986). In the eighties and the nineties, Crenshaw devoted his time to various credits, such as "Buddy Holly and the Crickets -- A Tribute" (PBS, 1987-88), "La Bamba" (1987) starring Lou Diamond Phillips and "Live From the House of Blues" (TBS, 1994-96). He also worked on "Empire Records" (1995) and "Men Behaving Badly" (NBC, 1996-98). Crenshaw was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" in 2007. After receiving this honor, he wrote songs which were featured in "Baby Mama" (2008) with Tina Fey. Most recently, Crenshaw worked on the Kyle Gallner musical "Losers Take All" (2013).
