British actress Zawe Ashton began working professionally on stage in her native London as a child in the early 1990s, quickly adding minor television and film roles to her resume. Her first film role of note came in 2009, when she played a supporting role in the family adventure "St. Trinian's II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold." Two years later, she played the female lead opposite international action superstar Jason Statham in the thriller "Blitz." That same year, she co-starred opposite Jason Isaacs in the television crime drama "Case Histories." In 2012, Ashton returned to television as one of the stars of the ensemble comedy-drama "Fresh Meat."
