Over the decades he's been alive, Chong Yang (Dai Gao Zheng) of the Yongye Clan has grown weary of his immortality. In an attempt to end his life, he plants a Noctrose, but the flower refuses to bloom – until he meets Ji Nan Xing (He Shi), a girl from the Yan Clan, who's been cursed to die young. Nan Xing's only chance at survival is to marry Chong Yang, but he's reluctant to do anything that might prolong his life. Is there any path forward for them, when they both want such different things? Or will love be what saves them both in the end?
