David Nevins

David Nevins spent much of his career working closely with media moguls Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. As president of the television arm of their production company, Imagine Entertainment, Nevins served as co-executive producer on several successful series. His first project was 2003's "Miss Match," a short-lived legal drama starring Alicia Silverstone. This was followed by two more semi-flops: a comedy starring Andy Richter, "Quintuplets," and the crime thriller "The Inside," both on FOX. Though these three series didn't catch on, "Arrested Development," another that launched around the same time as "Miss Match," became a cult hit and critical darling. Canceled after only three seasons due to lack of ratings (perhaps a result of its unique brand of self-referential and often very subtle humor), it was well reviewed and has grown in popularity. After a few TV movies of varying success, Nevins scored another modest hit in 2006 with the James Woods vehicle "Shark." Though "Arrested Development" is perhaps his most beloved project, "Friday Night Lights," which premiered in 2006, is probably his most successful. His last project with Imagine TV was the 2009 crime drama "Lie to Me," starring Tim Roth. Nevins left Imagine in the summer of 2010 after being named entertainment president at Showtime.
