Elizabeth Rider

English actress Elizabeth Rider has sustained an enduring career playing mainly for British television, including such popular series as "EastEnders" and "Doctors." Her first appearance was in the 1979 World War I-era mini-series "Testament of Youth." Throughout the 1980s, she acted only occasionally, but was able to find more steady work in the '90s including a regular part for two seasons in the critically acclaimed series "The Lakes," a drama about the tensions and secrets of a seemingly tranquil community. In addition to various guest spots in other series, she landed a recurring role on the popular, long-running dramatic series "Coronation Street." Her television success garnered her substantial attention, and she was offered roles on various shows including the cold case crime drama "Waking the Dead" and the medical drama "Doctors." In a rare big-screen performance, she played a supporting part in "Brothers of the Head," a drama about a conjoined twin rock 'n' roll act. And in another atypical outing, she voiced the character of Atris, a Jedi Master who falls to the dark side, for the video game "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lord."
