Sam gives relationship advice to her and Jay's assistant, Freddie, ignoring Hetty's warning not to get too close to “the help.” Also, Sasappis strikes up a romance with Jessica, the ghost who lives in Freddie's car.

When teen ghost Stephanie (Odessa A’zion), who lives in the attic, awakens to find that her crush Trevor is now dating Hetty, she decides to sabotage all the relationships at Woodstone.

When Jay's sister Bela and her boyfriend Eric visit Woodstone for the first time since Eric's near-death experience on Christmas, Sam and Jay are shocked to learn that Eric can now see ghosts! Meanwhile, at Hetty's urging, Issac broaches the idea of a prenup with Nigel.

Sam and Jay hope to impress some cool friends from the city with a Halloween party at the mansion. But when Pete's ex-wife, Carol, drops by unannounced - and significantly overstays her welcome - Sam worries that her presence will spoil the event. Meanwhile, after accidentally summoning Molly from the beyond last year on Halloween, the ghosts decide to host a seance to bring back their recently departed friend.

When a big investor backs out of Sam and Jay's restaurant, they're left with no choice but to turn to the one ghost who has money: Isaac, whose involvement unfortunately comes with some strings. Meanwhile, Pete panics and once again plays the fake girlfriend card, but when things get out of hand he's forced to take advice from an unexpected - and unwanted - source.

Pete discovers a power that he never knew he had - one that brings him closer to his buddy Jay (and further apart).
