Jerry Rushing

Jerry Rushing rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Rushing's earliest roles were in film, including "Wise Blood" (1979) with Brad Dourif, "A Day of Judgment" (1980) with William T Hicks and "Carny" (1980). He also appeared in the Earl Owensby drama "Living Legend" (1980). He also starred in the TV movies "The Georgia Peaches" (1980-81), "Murder in Coweta County" (CBS, 1982-83) and "The Baron and the Kid" (CBS, 1984-85). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the Wings Hauser horror movie "Night Shadows" (1984) and "MARIE: A True Story" (1985) with Sissy Spacek. Rushing focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Robert Logan drama "Man Outside" (1987), the Theresa Russell thriller "Track 29" (1988) and the Rosanna Arquette thriller "Black Rainbow" (1990). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" (1991) with Kristy McNichol. He also was featured in the TV movie "Bandit: Beauty and the Bandit" (1993-94). Rushing most recently appeared in "A Good Baby" (Cinemax, 1999-2000).
